Cryptofolione 1 is a δ-lactone containing natural product isolated from the stem bark of Cryptocarya Mytifolia and Cryptocarya Moschata . It was also isolated from the fruits of C. Alba [ 2 ]. Structurally, cryptofolione 1 contains a δ -lactone attached to a linear octyl tether possessing a 1,3-diol, two alkene units and a terminal phenyl ring.
